This is an audio project done for an owner of a pioneer village attraction in Osceola County, Florida. The video was provided by the client, already edited and not to be changed. The task was to create supporting audio narration, background music, and sound effects to the video so that it can be used for educational purposes in the organization's Visitors Center.
Above is the final rendering of the audio project. Below is a peak into the backend of the project. GarageBand was used to create this educational module. A Blue Snowball microphone was used to record the audio narration directly into GB, and effective sound proofing practices were used in the making of this project.
Once the video was imported into the program, tracks were created for the various background music and sound effects. The yellow bars represent volume, while the green bars represent panning of sound between left and right speakers. As you can see, extensive editing was done to each track, making sure that the sound frequencies do not collide with one another. The dips in volume levels of the narration track show that unnecessary sounds like breaths were removed to create a clean crisp narration. EQ effects were applied to each track and then ultimately to the entire project to bring all the sounds together into a single cohesive unit.
